Join the pta

We need you, and you need to join each year! By joining the Bradley Hills PTA, you:

  • Receive a printed Bradley Hills Directory and access to the online AtoZ Directory with school families’ contact information as well as helpful school and PTA references.

  • Vote on PTA matters that directly affect our children and our school.

  • Partner with other parents to become active, involved citizens in our community.

  • Become a member of the local, state, and national PTAs.

What has your PTA been up to lately?

  • Represented the Bradley Hills community’s interests on Whitman Cluster and broader MCPS educational issues.

  • Organized a school supply drive through Amazon for our sister school, Weller Road Elementary School.

  • Welcomed new families to the school community.

  • Provided classroom supplies for teachers.

  • Sponsored numerous community-building events.

  • Authored the BHES Handbook for Hybrid Instruction.

  • Successfully advocated for the continuation of compacted math.

Family membership in the PTA costs $40 and helps to support PTA activities throughout the year. With your family membership you will receive one school directory and full-year access to the online school directory. Additional directories are available for $5 each. To join, login to AtoZ and select "Membership" from the drop-down menu on the left.

AtoZ is now powered by Membership Toolkit. Therefore, all families (new and returning) must click Create Account to join the PTA this year. Returning families should use the same e-mail address previously linked to the old AtoZ system to transfer your contact information to the new AtoZ/Membership Toolkit system. You can find more instructions for registering here: https://www.bhespta.com/stay-connected.

Every Child, One Voice

The PTA Annual Fund is the PTA’s primary fundraiser. It supports classroom technology, cultural arts assemblies, visiting artists, recess equipment, classroom supplies, and more. The Bradley Hills student experience would not be the same without these enrichments. Please join us in supporting our children and the Bradley Hills community by donating to the PTA Annual Fund.

VOLUNTEERS ARE ESSENTIAL TO THE PTA!

We could not do what we do without our parent volunteers! Thanks to the amazing volunteers at Bradley Hills Elementary, the PTA is able to host many programs and activities and provide daily support to the school. No matter what your interests, talents or available time, there is a volunteer opportunity that can work for you. Whether you can lend an hour or two per year at a community event or school activity, a few hours a month as a room parent, or more time chairing a committee or event, we can help you find an opportunity that will make a difference for our students.

We also frequently have opportunities for MCPS students in grades 6-12 to earn Student Service Learning (SSL) hours by volunteering to help with events. If your middle or high school student is interested, please sign up to join our contact list.

Have questions? Contact a current PTA Board member or Committee Chair using the PTA Contact List or Organization Chart.
